KEROPOK SRI KOLAM IBAI - Part 3

Hm...what a taste of keropok lekor then?

keropok lekor

Get it when it is still hot. Take 2 or 3 units of that keropok lekor.  Cut or slice the keropok into small pieces to make it easier to eat. Get a good location beneath a big tree not far from the factory. Bring along the chilly sauce specially made for that keropok. Now you are facing the small bushes right in front of you. What a good and windy place to enjoy keropok lekor Pak Bakar.

You may enjoy the nature here too. If you are lucky, you might have a chance to watch giant lizards ( like a commodore ) sneaking to find foods (or the remain of fishes used to make keropok which had been thrown out into the bushes) behind the factory house. Be careful, this lizard can grow up to 3 meters long and very aggressive if disturbed bare hands. Get something to protect you if you want to have a closer look (not recommended at all).

Now, let us talk about the keropok again. Actually, I do not want to be so aggressive about promoting the products of Keropok Sri Kolam Ibai because they already have enough regular local customers for their products. They even have regular customers for their fish crackers from outside the state of Terengganu. What I am doing is to promote their product through internet...something they haven't done it as at to date.

So, if you have an access to this blog, you should have been able to contact the person in charge of the marketing the products from Keropok Sri Kolam Ibai. The name and the contact number already given by me in the last 2 postings from me. View it again now for confirmation.

Get the taste of keropok lekor which is boiled in big steel basin or wok with fire woods or gas, avoid the one being cooked with electricity power because it has destroyed the original aroma of the keropok. You will know which product is better if you eat, the one which is cooked or boiled traditionally with fire woods and the other one which is cooked and boiled with electricity as prepared by modern keropok factories today. The taste and aroma are very much different, though it is unfair for me to under estimate or under value the modern factory's products.

But, definitely the keropok lekor Pak Bakar is better because of the special blend. If you are reading this post alone, then I suggest to you to read my 2 earlier posts before putting any comment on this.

Keropok lekor is a food  or a product from a cooking. You cannot say it is not good until and unless you have tasted the same.

KEROPOK SRI KOLAM IBAI - Part 2

Get Keropok Lekor or Keping From The Expert

Hi there, meet me again in my promotion series for Keropok Sri Kolam Ibai.

Making keropok lekor ( fish sausages) is easy. Even you and me can make it. But then, can we create a good keropok lekor to suit most of our potential buyers out there? Can we produce a good taste of keropok in just a matter of one day? Can we just steal somebody's recipe and then go home to produce our own keropok based on that stolen recipe?

Just like a cooking. Sometimes, we have our dinner or lunch in branded and splendid restaurants and we are satisfied with the foods and drinks served to us. But, we have some special foods or beverages prepared by our mother ever since we were still young and that recipe cannot be challenged by anybody in this World...not even by the 5 stars restaurants that we have our dinner or lunch before. It is just as simple like that. Everyone of us must have a favorite recipe from its own mother, which is not available anywhere, save and except at home.

So, the method and procedure in preparing such foods or beverages are not a matter of one day preparation by our mother. It was the knowledge and skill inherited by our mother from their ancestors or ancestress, to be perfect. The recipe, skill and knowledge therefore was not created today or yesterday. In many cases, we do not have the same taste and quality of the foods from somebody who had duly inherited the recipe, knowledge and skill from our beloved mom.

Similarly with arts of making keropok. When it is a cooking, we must accept the truth of the facts about recipe, knowledge and skill that I have told you above. You need some one who have that recipe, knowledge and skill to make keropok. You must admit and accept this facts, because making keropok is a cooking!

Now, the facts are very clear. My dear, Pak Bakar and his wife Che Da Som are the experts in making keropok through their experience for almost 30 years in this business. They have learned a lot, created so many and experienced so much in making keropok...to the extent of closing their eyes but still can make a good blend of it.

Blend? Yeah...the good blend, which has been obtained by them through so many years of experience in making keropok. This type of experience surely will be very helpful to produce good keropok for everyone.

So, why not trying to have the keropok specially blended by our experts from Keropok Sri Ibai Kolam?

KEROPOK SRI KOLAM IBAI

Keropok Sri Kolam Ibai - New Brand of Keropok Lekor in Kuala Ibai?

Keropok Sri Kolam Ibai is merely new in its name. The brand was actually created almost 30 years ago when Pak Bakar and his wife Che Da Som started to make and sell keropok lekor ( fish sausages ) and keropok keping ( fish krakers ) just in front of their house. It was a family business in the beginning when almost every body having close relationship with the couple came and lend their hands to the business. That is one of the reason why the business was not expanding, though many years had been in  that business. The couple has to contribute to those helping them and in the end of the day, not so much profit is gained.

Later on, the business was registered with the Registrar of Business in Kuala Terengganu to enable the business to expand. The business was registered under the name of the eldest daughter of the couple named...Kartini...my second cousin. Everything was going on nicely and in order when the business slowly expanded and started making its name.

Suddenly, the relationship between the family erupts for reasons not known to the public. The big and strong family has broken, resulting the couple and its family have to evacuate. They have to move out because the bigger part of the families were against them. God knows what was the actual reason for the break down. To me, it was one of the saddest moment in my life because they all are very much related to me...when we grew up and made fortune together.

Now, I need to help them in promoting the business just to ensure it will go on. The business had been brought to new location, with better surrounding and new prospects. Its name must be promoted, not only to expand the business but also to protect the taste and the brand that they have. Their products have its own specialties and good qualities, suffice to be introduced to the public in this region and perhaps up to the international level.

So, I am promoting keropok lekor and keropok keping from the business of Keropok Sri Kolam Ibai, Kuala Terengganu to the World for the quality that they have.

Please try this product, and I'm sure you will come again for second time.

How to get it and where?
